Gallatin County Republicans Endorse Constitutional Conservatives for the June 2 Primary

Official 2026 endorsements from Gallatin County Republicans, listing four political candidates for a June 2 vote.

The Gallatin County Republican Central Committee is proud to announce our official endorsements for the 2026 Republican primary. These candidates demonstrate strong Constitutional Conservatism — a commitment to limited government, lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, individual freedom, and traditional Montana values.

We urge all conservatives in Gallatin County and surrounding districts to support these principled leaders on June 2, 2026.

Senate District 34 – Caleb Hinkle
Rep. Caleb Hinkle is a proven fighter for limited government and has been endorsed by Americans for Prosperity–Montana. As a current House member from Belgrade, he has consistently stood for pro-family policies, fiscal restraint, and constitutional principles. Caleb is challenging the moderate incumbent in SD 34 and will bring strong conservative leadership to the Montana Senate.

House District 67 – Jed Hinkle
Rep. Jedediah Hinkle is a fifth-session legislator and current Majority Whip who chairs the House Fish and Wildlife Committee. A 4th-generation Montanan, Jed has a proven record of protecting life, freedom, property rights, and fighting for lower taxes and fiscal accountability. He is the steady, principled conservative voice Gallatin County needs in the House.

House District 68 – Randy Chamberlin
Randy Chamberlin, CEO of Montana Steel Industries, is a successful businessman and strong conservative running for HD 68. He brings real-world experience and a commitment to pro-growth, limited-government policies that will protect jobs, reduce regulations, and keep taxes low for working families in the Belgrade area.

House District 69 – Trevor Walter
Trevor Walter is a 4th-generation Montanan and constitutionalist who describes himself as a “problem solver, not a politician.” Running for HD 69, Trevor stands firmly for limited government, fiscal responsibility, strong support for the 2nd Amendment, and policies that help rural Montana families thrive.

These four candidates represent the best of conservative values in our area. They will fight for less government, lower taxes, more freedom, and the kind of Montana we want to leave to our children and grandchildren.
