Election Judge vs. Poll Watcher

An Election Judge and a Poll Watcher are both involved in the election process, but they have different roles and responsibilities.

An Election Judge is an appointed or elected official who oversees the conduct of an election in a specific precinct or polling place. They are responsible for setting up the polling place, ensuring that all required materials are available, and managing the voting process. They also have the authority to make decisions on voter eligibility and any disputes that may arise.

On the other hand, a Poll Watcher is an individual appointed by a political party or candidate to observe the election process and ensure that it is conducted fairly and in accordance with the law. They are not responsible for managing the voting process but are there to monitor the actions of the Election Judges and report any irregularities or violations they may witness. Poll Watchers are typically allowed to observe the election process, but they do not have the authority to make decisions or intervene in the voting process.

In summary, the main difference between an Election Judge and a Poll Watcher is that an Election Judge is responsible for managing the voting process and making decisions, while a Poll Watcher is there to observe and report any irregularities or violations.
